BREAKDOWN
For KRAFTWERK and their KANVAS trade show stand, I designed a multisensory installation that blends storytelling, advanced technology, and generative art. The experience was divided into chapters, each crafted to engage the user in a unique and personal way. The journey began with a narrator’s voice, guiding the visitor and immersing them in a moment of emotional and mental introspection. This set the stage for what followed: a visually and sensorially rich exploration like no other.
Positioned in front of the installation, the user was exposed to a rapid sequence of images designed to evoke a wide range of emotions. These reactions were not only felt but also measured using Emotive brainwave sensors. This technology recorded the participant’s emotional states in real-time, translating them into raw data that reflected the complexity of their experience. These emotions were then transformed into a visual language that came to life as a unique and personal artwork.
The final result was the generation of an abstract flower, where each petal represented a different emotional spectrum. Shapes, colors, and textures merged to create a unique visual representation, a mirror of the emotions captured during the experience. Each flower—an intersection of technology and creativity—was screenshotted and saved in a dedicated database, forming a digital archive of human emotions translated into generative art. The installation concluded by leaving the user with a symbolic image of their emotional journey.
