BREAKDOWN
For Vasco Live XXV, we developed an interactive visual system capable of reacting in real time to the live performance on stage.
Our goal was to go beyond traditional “support visuals” and turn the LED screens into active elements of the scene, constantly interacting with the music, the lighting, and the artist himself.

The creative concept

The idea stemmed from the desire to create a visual language that could adapt to the rhythm and emotion of each moment, rather than relying on pre-rendered content.
We designed a series of digital frames integrated into the main LED walls, which move, change color, and react to the surrounding environment.
These frames were not static graphics—they were living extensions of the performance
.

During the song “Siamo qui”, for example, the word “SIAMO” became a dynamic part of the stage: its colors shifted in real time, following the hues captured by the live camera feed—turning green or blue depending on the lighting and Vasco’s movements on stage.

Technology and interaction

To make this live interaction possible, we used Notch.
The concert’s video feed was processed as a dynamic input for the graphics: Notch analyzed the signal and generated immediate visual reactions, synchronized with the audio and the stage performance.
This workflow allowed us to design responsive visuals that adapted instantly to changes in lighting, tempo, or camera perspective—creating a coherent, ever-evolving visual flow.

A living visual language

The interaction wasn’t limited to color shifts: frames and graphic elements also reacted to the rhythm and movement of the artist, modulating intensity, speed, and direction.

Each concert became a unique visual experience, different every night, because it was generated live and in the moment.
The outcome was a kind of fluid scenography, breathing in sync with the music and amplifying the emotional power of the performance.

The result

The project created a constant dialogue between stage, audience, and visuals, where technology was not the star, but rather a tool serving emotion.
The interactive frames defined a distinctive aesthetic, blending design, music, and light into a single expressive language.

We also integrated Zactrack to precisely track the artist’s movements across the stage, allowing both lighting and visuals to respond in real time.
This system created a continuous dialogue between Vasco’s presence and the scenography — every step, gesture, and interaction influencing the surrounding light and graphic environment, making the performance even more immersive and alive.
